Meet with an Advisor

Quick Questions (July 7th - July 24th)

During the Summer advising and new student registration period, we will be having all-day Quick Question drop-ins! These appointments are especially for students starting in the Autumn 2026 quarter - you do not need to have an assigned advisor in our office. These are intended for students who have already attended a Group Advising Session. 

Quick Question Hours

• Monday-Friday
• 9:00 -11:30 AM; 1:00 - 4:00 PM Mountain Time
• In Person: Suite 3100 Community Commons (3rd Floor)
• Virtual: Add yourself to virtual drop-ins through DU Success Hub (you can only add yourself during the hours listed above)
  • Instructions for Joining Virtual Drop-Ins
  • NOTE:  If you join the virtual queue, an advisor will email you when they are available to see you and you will have about five minutes or so to join their Zoom room. Keep an eye on your DU email for this notification after you have joined the queue.

Current DU Students

Advisors are available to meet with you during the summer via Same-Day Appointments, starting the week of July 27th through August 27th. If you need assistance before then, please reach out to your assigned advisor or email advising@du.edu. 

Same-Day Appointments

Same-day appointments become available for scheduling starting at 8 a.m. on designated days. You cannot book for a day in the future.  Students may book a same-day appointment through DU Success Hub with their assigned academic advisor (if available) or with any academic advisor with open appointments.

Instructions for booking a Same-Day Appointment in DU Success Hub

• In DU Success Hub, make sure to log in and then select "Schedule an Appointment"
• For "Success Team" click on Office of Academic Advising Advisor - Same Day
• For "Advisor" select Show me all available time slots
• You can leave the date blank and then click next to see all the available appointments
• NOTE: Our office can only clear registration holds for first year students and second year students without a declared major. If you are a sophomore, junior or senior with a declared major, your faculty advisor must clear your advising hold.

• Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Same-Day Appointments are available: 

• Monday - Friday
• 9:00 - 11:30 AM
• 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Students may schedule an individual appointment with their assigned academic advisor in the Office of Academic Advising through DU Success Hub, subject to availability. 

If you are a 2+ year student with a declared major, please refer to the information above at the top of the page to connect with your major advisor.

Schedule Ahead appointments are generally not available during weeks 1, 7, and 8 of each quarter. Please see Same-Day Appointment or Quick Question options during these time periods.

How To Book An Appointment in DU Success Hub

Quick Question Drop In Hours

Quick Question Hours are offered during peak registration periods, in the first days of classes (week 1) and registration week (week 8). These appointments are open to all students - you do not need to have an assigned advisor in our office.

Quick Question advising meetings are intentionally designed to be "quick" (10-15 min) and for issues that do not require a full appointment slot. If you anticipate needing more time with an advisor, consider booking a Schedule Ahead Appointment or Same-Day Appointment.
