Professional Biography

Bruce Klaw is an assistant professor in the Department of Business Ethics & Legal Studies. His fields of research and expertise include white collar and corporate crime, international law and business ethics. His scholarship has been published in the Harvard Journal on Legislation and is forthcoming in the Berkeley Journal of of International Law. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Law from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Previously, Professor Klaw taught law in South Korea. He also practiced international dispute resolution, white-collar criminal defense and complex business litigation at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP and the trial practice group of Stoel Rives LLP. Prior to that, he interned in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York, and served as a legal assistant to Judge Sang Hyun Song of the International Criminal Court while immersed in the Advanced LL.M. Program in Public International Law at Leiden University in The Netherlands. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Oregon.
