What I do

I'm an Assistant Professor in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I teach in our 3rd year Biochemistry course series and direct a research lab focused on understanding important topics in RNA and protein biochemistry.

Specialization(s)

RNA biochemistry

Degree(s)

  • Ph.D., Chemistry, University of Oregon, 2010
  • BS, Chemistry, University of Idaho, 2004

Professional Affiliations

  • RNA Society

Research

My lab is generally interested in RNA and protein biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology. See the lab's website for more specific details.

Key Projects

  • RNAs that Resist Degradation in the Cell and the Manipulation of RNA stability in Living Organisms
