Professional Biography

I was born and raised in Winter Park, Colorado and have always loved living in this beautiful state—so much so that I couldn’t bear to leave Colorado for university! I attended the University of Denver for my undergraduate studies, and after changing my majors and minors a few times, I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and English with a concentration in Creative Writing and minors in Leadership Studies and Marketing. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English-Literary Studies at DU. I’m interested in the narratological trends of worldbuilding and characterization in modern fantasy romance a.k.a. “romantasy” novels. In the future, I intend to be an English professor. I want to create a classroom environment that is open and accessible to all students, genres, and narratives. In my free time, I buy new books and try to read the books I already have on my never-ending TBR pile (trust me, those are two separate hobbies). Most winter weekends you can find me at Winter Park free skiing, working with ski patrol, or guiding private night skiing tours. In the summer, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and boating on Lake Granby.
