Wayne Bart, M.Ed.

Associate Director, Academic Advising

Professional Biography

I am originally from Aurora, Colorado, and my time in higher education started by earning my undergraduate degree in Journalism, with emphasis on Photojournalism, from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. After bouncing around a number of roles I gave student affairs a try, and eventually academic advising, and I've been doing it ever since. I started advising for graduate students doing online courses at an art school before relocating to Florida, where I worked with undergraduate students at a community college.

I earned my Master of Education in International Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago, and had a brief transition from advising to take over as Assistant Director of Study Abroad, and fully immersed myself in the worlds of education and travel after the pandemic. While it was an amazing experience, both advising and Colorado are in my heart, and I came back to both.
