Professional Biography

I was born in Colorado Springs and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I earned my degree in Speech Communication from Oregon State University, with minors in Writing and Adventure Leadership. After graduation, I completed a year of national service with AmeriCorps NCCC. I later relocated to Denver, where I began my career in education as a first-grade teacher before transitioning into academic advising. I am passionate about supporting students as they navigate their academic journeys, explore their goals, and build meaningful educational experiences.

What is one piece of advice you have for students? 
Take ownership of your experience early. College gives you a lot of freedom, but the students who get the most out of it are the ones who ask questions, seek support, and take initiative. Don’t wait until you’re struggling—build relationships with professors, advisors, and peers from the start.

How do you practice self-care?
Making sure I get enough sleep on a consistent schedule, Journaling, frequent walks when weather allows
