We recognize that anti-black violence, racial injustice, and other forms of oppression are rooted in power and policies. 

We believe community organizing is an essential strategy for building power and changing policies. Further, we believe that antiracism must be central to community-university collaboration for the public good. 

Community organizing and community engagement require that we think, connect, act, and reflect through collaboration that centers community leadership. 

Our promise is to think, connect, act, and reflect to dismantle racism and other forms of oppression by working at multiple levels, from policy to practice. 

Of course, making promises is easy. Therefore, we commit to providing evidence in the weeks, months, and years ahead of actualizing that promise.
